TableLog KC was born from a simple frustration: deciding where to eat shouldn't be complicated. We're tired of playing "what are we having for dinner tonight?" and wanted to make it stupid simple.

The catch? Most review sites are flooded with anonymous ratings and paid promotions. It's hard to know which opinions you can trust. We built TableLog KC around a different idea: every review comes from a verified, trusted critic—food writers, bloggers, and local experts who put their name and reputation behind what they write.

You can't buy your way onto our list or pay to leave a review. Restaurants earn their ranking from real critics who actually ate there. That's what makes TableLog KC special: the reviews are still genuine and user-generated, but they're written by people you can trust—so your next great meal is one tap away.

We use various map data to power our restaurant list and to provide a baseline score for places that haven't been reviewed by a TableLog KC critic yet. Once a restaurant has TableLog KC reviews, we weight our critics' scores more heavily—so the rating you see reflects trusted opinions first, with Google filling in until we've covered it ourselves.
